"Andrew Austin is clear, original, and outspoken about mental illness, medication, and psychiatry. His skills were honed by years of experience in the "trenches" of psychiatry, so he knows what he is talking about." Steve Andreas, author of "Transforming Your Self" and other books about therapy and personal change.

With many of his website articles recommended by a number of leading universities as study material for psychology students, Andrew is regularly consulted by television production and media companies regarding alternative psychology, hypnosis and neurological syndromes. As controversial as he is popular, his services include one-to-one and group or family therapy and training/seminars.
"I found Andrews style of training exceptional, his mixture of humour, real life anecdotes and unconventional methods brought the training and content to life. The practical exercises that formed part of the day allowed us to embedded the knowledge and skills learnt and I have used them since. I would recommend that people should give Andrew a try!" Martin Sadler

"Andrew gives excellent value for money and he is so willing to share his knowledge with others. I have travelled several times from the Manchester area to train with him, I wish I lived closer. Andrew is one of the few people that I would recommend my own clients to." Sue Jenkinson

"I like Andrew's controversial style and his different take on things. It is refreshing. He knows his subject and has a genuine interest in it." Ro Gorell - Ascent2Change Ltd

"Andy is knowledgeable, makes learning fun and knows intimately the stuff he teaches. I 100% recommend a training with him." Al Whi

"With Andrew, you always get more than your monies' worth. He is a treasure."Leonard C. Pflanz

"Andy has an informal and accessible training style with a lively sense of humour which makes learning easy and fun. Workshop handouts are good. I have found sessions well paced with a good mix of information, demonstration and practice. Group sizes mean that sessions are interactive, which I enjoy. Andy's unusual and refreshing brand of charisma and honesty combined with an in depth knowledge of his subject is an effective combination in a training setting."

"Never fails to amaze, impress and do exactly what he sets out to. Highly recommended." Gerald Woodgate

"I have listened, learned, laughed and learned some more with Andrew's presentations. With his addition of medical biofeedback and sensory anecdotes he had the group off their seats and delving deeper ! I look forward to working alongside again." Luciana Haill - IBVA UK

News:
"The Rainbow Machine - Tales from a Neurolinguist's Journal" by Andrew T. Austin and prefaced by Steve Andreas is out now via Real People Press

“Most books about therapy could just as well be prescribed as sleeping pills. And they often sit unread by the side of therapists’ beds, after they have plowed through the first jargon-laden chapter or two. Not this book!
Andy Austin’s Rainbow Machine will have you laughing, gasping in horror and awe, and wishing like hell that you lived close enough to him to get an appointment. He is the British Milton Erickson.”

- Bill O’Hanlon, author of Change 101 and many other books about brief therapy.

"The Rainbow Machine: Tales from a Neurolinguist’s Journal", by Andrew T. Austin, offers fascinating glimpses into the personal change work of a top NLP practitioner and registered nurse, in settings from mental hospitals, emergency rooms, and neurosurgery departments, to individual hypnosis and psychotherapy.  Rollicking, creative, lively, funny, outrageous, touching, profound.  A “must read” romp for anyone interested in therapy or personal change."
- Julian Russell, Author and Trainer, PPD Consulting
